Blood Girls

Possible poster design for a blood drive at my school.
There's a lot of space on the right because there's going to be information.

Marissa in Blue

Did this in Painter and it took me a LOOOONG time. Played with cel shading and I like how it came out.

What is 'Tude?

John Kricfalusi and Nico Colaleo have both discussed what 'tude is. Mainly John Kricfalusi, his opinion on 'tude is kind of biased.

Why?

Well...
Sometimes, you could see 'tude as if it was an expression. For example, THIS:

I would NOT concider 'tude. Amelia is possibly saying something like, "Can you do it?" or "That's interesting.

Yes, here Naveen has a 'tude face. But do you know what? It fits his personality. It fits the fact that he is a smug, womanizing assface.

I think that Dreamworks fails at 'Tude a lot (see above: How to Train your Dragon). The way they do it is just annoying and repetitive.

Oh GOD, I hated this movie. I know it's not Dreamworks but...GUH.

I'd also like to say that Dreamworks mainly fails at advertising. Yes Disney does have 'tude faces as well. I read here that 'tude sells. Indeed it does. Shrek is one of the highest grossing animated fimls ever. Man there's so many tude faces on their posters, and yes, it does sell.

Shrek, I was not fond of the style, but it had great one-liners and an unexpected ending. It's a classic to a lot of families. Congrats, Dreamworks, to that.

Maybe I'll try out HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON since Chris Sanders is working on it. I lost faith in Dreamworks since Monsters vs. Aliens, so we'll see about this...
